Hi, I'm Christine
It is not a stretch to say that my passion for health began right when I was born. Soon after they completed their Peace Corps service, my parents moved to Southern California to join a small film company specialized in educational health and lifestyle films. I grew up learning the principles promoted in those films. Some of them are dated, such as the low to non-fat craze, but other principles remain sound: eat whole, nutrient dense foods that you mostly cook at home; share meals with friends and family; exercise regularly; practice breathing and mindfulness techniques that calm your nervous system so that you can rest and digest; and do all of this in a way that feels good and sustainable. I am fortunate that a healthy lifestyle has felt natural since my childhood. However, this can be learned at any age and I want to share my experience with you!
It all begins with awareness
My coaching is also informed by yoga, which fundamentally changed my life as a young adult. Yoga reminds us that conscious breath is our greatest tool. Yoga fosters a daily practice of awareness, a kind of internal compass. Yoga helps us to live through our entire body rather than living only in our head. It allows us to trust the power of our gut intuition and the expansive wisdom of our heart. A central part of my coaching practice is to create a space for awareness so that you know exactly where you are and where you want to go. I would love to share this journey of discovery with you!
